Camping at Clear Lake

We were privileged to spend one of the last weekends of summer with a dozen or so good friends at the Clear Lake group campsite southeast of Mt. Rainier. Over three days and two nights, we shared some well-prepared feasts, went on hikes, skipped stones, played games, got soaked in a freak 2-minute downpour, and had a great time. I hope this turns into an annual tradition.

The creek next to our camp.

Mmmm, breakfast.

Relaxing in the hammock.

A well-stocked game collection ensured plenty of entertainment.

The grown-ups used the hand-cranked blender for margaritas at night, but during the day the kids made whirlpools with water.

Everett did a lot of road construction with another five year old there.
